No, the JVC HR-XVC12 is a VHS/DVD player combo, but it does not have the ability to record VHS to DVD. It can only play both formats, not transfer or dub from one to the other.
If you need to transfer VHS to DVD, you’ll need a VHS/DVD recorder combo. We do sell those here
