To get your Logitech Harmony 950 Touch IR Remote operational for your TV, follow these steps:
1. Set Up Using Harmony Software
- You must first set it up on your computer using the MyHarmony desktop software:
- Download and install the MyHarmony software.
- Connect the Harmony 950 via USB.
- Log in or create a Harmony account.
2. Add Your TV and Other Devices
- Inside the software:
- Click "Add Device".
- Enter your TV brand and model number (e.g., Samsung Q60A).
- Repeat this for other devices (e.g., cable box, soundbar).
3. Create an Activity: "Watch TV"
- This step links devices together:
- Click "Add Activity".
- Choose "Watch TV".
- Assign:TV for video
- Cable/Satellite box for source
- Sound system (optional) for audio
- Set power and input settings so everything turns on and switches correctly.
4. Sync to Remote
- Once devices and activities are added:
- Click "Sync" in the MyHarmony software.
- This loads the settings onto your Harmony 950.
5. Use the Remote
- Tap "Watch TV" on the touch screen.
- It should power on the TV and all linked devices, and set the right inputs.
- Use the touch screen or physical buttons to control volume, channels, etc.
- If it's not working, verify:
- Devices are in IR range.
- Inputs are correctly assigned.
- Power commands are accurate (some TVs use "Power Toggle" vs "Power On").
