Charging Your iPod
-
Connect the Power Supply: Ensure the SoundDock is plugged into a working AC outlet using the provided power adapter.
-
Insert Your iPod: Gently place your iPod onto the 30-pin dock connector. The system should automatically begin charging your device.
-
Confirmation: A brief tone may sound, and a small green LED on the front of the system will flash, indicating a successful connection and charging process.
-
Supported Devices: The SoundDock Series II is compatible with most iPod models that feature a click wheel, including iPod nano, iPod classic, and iPod touch (up to 4th generation).
-
Unsupported Devices: Newer Apple devices with a Lightning connector (introduced with iPhone 5 and later iPod models) are not directly compatible. However, you can use a 30-pin to Lightning adapter to connect these devices. Note that functionality may vary, and charging might not be supported for all models.
-
Charging While Playing Other Devices: If you have another audio device connected via the AUX input, you can still charge your docked iPod. Press and hold the Play/Pause button on the remote for three seconds to switch audio input while maintaining the iPod's charging.
