The DR430 doesn't have a built-in VHS player, but it includes analog inputs—composite video (yellow) and stereo audio (red and white)—on both the front and back panels. You can connect your VCR to these inputs using standard RCA cables.
Once connected, set the DR430's input to match the connected source (usually labeled L1 for rear or L2 for front), and press the Record button while playing the VHS tape. This setup allows you to record the VHS content onto a blank DVD.
The DR430 supports recording on DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, and DVD+RW formats. After recording, you can use the Auto Finalize feature to make the DVD playable on other standard DVD players.
You might be better to find a DVD/VCR combo that can record to DVD from the built in VCR. Porter Electronics does carry these here
