The Minolta X‑700 35mm SLR Camera uses two LR44 (or SR44) button-cell batteries or a single CR1/3N battery.
Battery Location:
-
The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the camera, just beside the tripod mount.
-
Look for a small round xxxx -cap marked with a battery icon.
How to Install:
-
Turn the camera upside down.
-
Use a coin or your fingers to unscrew the circular battery cover.
-
Insert:
-
Two LR44 or SR44 batteries (flat side = positive, facing out), or
-
One CR1/3N lithium battery
-
-
Replace and secure the cap snugly.
Once installed, test by turning the power on and half-pressing the shutter to activate the meter. If you don’t see LEDs light up in the viewfinder, the battery may be dead or incorrectly inserted.
