The Bose Wave Radio II is a very good receiver for its size, but like most tabletop radios, performance can vary in difficult areas such as interior bathrooms with no windows.
Reception may be weaker in those environments due to walls, plumbing, and electrical interference. The unit uses its power cord as the FM antenna, so placement and cord positioning can make a noticeable difference.
If reception is poor, there are a couple options:
- Try repositioning the unit or extending/adjusting the power cord
- Use an external FM antenna for improved signal strength
If you need something specifically for challenging reception areas, a radio with a dedicated external antenna or a larger antenna system would generally perform better.
