How to Determine Which Bose Wave System You Have
Check the Bottom Label (Most Accurate):
Turn the unit over and locate the model number on the sticker
Common examples:
AWR1-1W = Wave Radio (no CD)
AWRC-1G / AWRC-1P = Wave Radio with CD
AWRCC1 / AWRCC2 = Wave Music System
Look at the Front of the Unit:
No CD slot = Wave Radio (AWR1 series)
CD slot included = Wave Radio/CD or Wave Music System
Check the Display Style:
Basic green display = older models (AWR1 / AWRC)
Brighter, more modern display = newer Wave Music System models
Check the Remote Control:
Small/simple remote = older Wave Radio
Larger remote with more buttons = newer Wave Music System
Check the Back Panel Connections:
AUX input only = older models
AUX + Bose Link port = newer Wave Music System
Quick Reference Guide:
