To remove the old bulb from the Revere Camera Co. P-85 8mm Projector (CZX/DAB lamp), follow these steps carefully:

Unplug the projector and allow it to cool completely.
The projection lamp becomes extremely hot during operation. -
Open the lamp access cover.
On most Revere P-85 projectors, the lamp compartment is accessible from the side or rear of the projector housing. -
Locate the CZX/DAB bulb assembly.
The bulb is typically mounted in a socket behind the reflector housing. -
Carefully grasp the bulb by the metal base — not the glass.
Avoid applying pressure to the glass portion. - Remove the bulb:
- Most CZX/DAB lamps pull straight out of the socket.
- Some may require a slight wiggle while pulling gently.
- Do not twist aggressively unless the socket clearly uses a bayonet-style mount.
- If the bulb feels stuck:
- Wiggle gently side-to-side while pulling outward.
- Check for retaining clips or brackets holding the lamp in place.
- Install the new bulb by aligning the pins correctly and pressing firmly into the socket.
