The Ultratec Superprint 4425 was originally designed to operate over a standard analog telephone landline and works best when connected directly to a traditional phone jack.
Most cell phones do not support direct TTY operation the way older landlines did. While some mobile carriers historically offered TTY compatibility, many have transitioned to newer accessibility technologies such as real-time text (RTT), and compatibility with standalone TTY devices can be limited or unavailable.
