"Single-feed" does not mean you can only scan one check at a time.
The Epson TM-S1000 has an automatic document feeder that can hold up to 100 checks. The term "single-feed" refers to the scanner's ability to reliably feed one check at a time through the transport mechanism, helping to prevent double-feeding or jams. Each check is scanned individually as it passes through the machine, even though you can load a stack of checks into the feeder.
