To replace the batteries on the Sony ICD-PX470, follow these steps:
- Turn the recorder off.
- Slide and lift the battery compartment cover on the back of the recorder in the direction of the arrow.
- Remove the old batteries.
- Insert two AAA (LR03) batteries, making sure the positive (+) and negative (–) ends match the polarity markings inside the compartment.
- Close the battery cover until it clicks into place.
The recorder uses two AAA alkaline batteries or two AAA rechargeable batteries. If you're using rechargeable batteries, they must be charged in an external charger, as the ICD-PX470 does not charge batteries internally.
