Thank you for your question. No, our JVC HR-S9800U does not include the original JVC remote. The unit is sold without a remote.
The VCR has been fully tested to ensure all primary playback functions operate correctly using the front panel controls. If you prefer to use a remote, compatible replacement remotes are widely available for purchase separately.
