The ICF-CDK50 uses a CR2032 battery mounted in a removable battery holder. Place the battery into the holder with the “+” side facing up. Make sure the battery is seated flat and underneath the small retaining tabs.
Then slide the holder straight back into the opening on the bottom of the unit until it is fully seated. It only fits in one direction, so do not force it. If the holder will not slide in, remove it and check that the battery is completely flat and not sitting above the holder’s edges. Keeping the unit plugged into the wall while changing the battery will preserve the clock settings.
