No, the Toshiba SD-V392 cannot record onto DVDs. The DVD side is for playback only, while the VCR side can play and record VHS tapes.
It can play DVDs, audio CDs, and VHS tapes. It can also record television programming or an external video source onto a VHS tape when connected to a compatible cable box, satellite receiver, or other device. It cannot copy VHS tapes to DVD, record television programs onto DVD, or create DVDs.
